Welcome to this episode of our horror fiction podcast, The Strange Thing About
“Everyone who comes in here is lost.”
Lost in a freezing fog along the rugged western coast of Ireland, American college student Michael (Xolo Maridueña) stumbles upon a lonely old tavern glowing in the darkness. Inside, the fire is warm, the ale is extraordinary, and the locals are… a little strange.
Michael strikes up a conversation with Callum (Graham McTavish), a grizzled Scottish cabbie who offers to tell him a true story about a mysterious young woman he picked up outside a hospital many years ago. But as Callum’s haunting tale unfolds, an old bell keeps tolling, the crowd begins to thin, and Michael starts to wonder exactly what kind of place he’s wandered into.
From the Emmy Award-winning team at Bang Zoom! Studios, THE STRANGE THING ABOUT THE TAVERN is a supernatural audio drama about lost souls, unfinished journeys, and a final drink at the end of the road.
Cast: Xolo Maridueña (Cobra Kai, Blue Beetle, One Piece), Graham McTavish (The Hobbit, Outlander, House of the Dragon), rising Scottish actress Eubha Akilade, and Conor McKenna of acclaimed Irish comedy trio Foil Arms and Hog.
